Graduated Lakeview High School and played varsity baseball and was an all Macomb County pitcher. Perry played at Macomb Community College for two years. Perry has coached in the CYO leagues during his high school days. While still in College, Perry became part of the Lakeview Varsity Baseball Coaching Staff as Lakview's Pitching Coach.
